Kjerag – le magestueux sommet montagneux s’élevant à 1000m audessus du Lysefjord.
La vue de la montagne qui plonge verticalement dans le fjord est impressionnante à partir du pont d’un bateau.
On comprend facilement que Kjerag séduit les randonneurs et les amateurs de basejump pendant l’été. Le sentier balisé démarre à Øygardstøl, et la randonnée dure entre 4 et 6 heures, dans un relief nécessitant une bonne condition physique.
Embarquez en voiture à bord du ferry reliant Stavanger à Lysebotn avant d’emprunter les virages en épingle à cheveux de la route menant au parking payant de Øygardstøl.
Autre possibilité: prenez l’autoroute E39 de Stavanger jusqu’à Ålgård, suivez la nationale Rv45 à travers Hunnedal et Sirdal, balisée jusqu’à Lysebotn (152km).
Pendant la haute saison (de fin juin jusqu’à fin août), il est également possible de voyager en bus à partir de Stavanger et de Sandnes, qui suit le même itinéraire jusqu’à Øygardstøl, où commence la randonnée vers Kjerag. Plus d’information (en anglais) ici
Veuillez vous équiper de chaussures de randonnée, de vêtements appropriés, d’un déjeuner et d’eau potable! Le parcours de randonnée est délicat et n’est recommandé qu’aux marcheurs confirmés. La randonnée vers Kjerag n’est possible que pendant l’été! (de fin mai à miseptembre).
